A single mom’s story…
In 2019, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I, Linda, found myself at a crossroads. As a single mom of a 3-year-old boy, life had already been a challenge, but then came the world’s crisis. The pandemic made everything harder—from sourcing macrame materials to even getting my orders shipped out. Delivery services were delayed, suppliers ran out of stock, and uncertainty seemed to overshadow every part of my dream. Yet, I refused to give up.
Macrame had been my passion for years, and creating boho-inspired decor always brought me joy. So, I decided to build my online store, Macrame Land, even though the odds were stacked against me. I faced many sleepless nights juggling between taking care of my son, managing my store, and figuring out new ways to keep the business afloat. But each time I felt like giving up, the thought of those hand-made creations, crafted with love, kept me going.
Slowly, things started to improve. I found new suppliers, creative ways to ship my products, and my passion only grew stronger. Now, every item I make is infused with my heart. Macrame Land is no longer just a source of income, it’s the reflection of my resilience, my passion, and my love for crafting beautiful things for others. Despite everything, I’ve kept the spirit alive—and it’s thriving.
